2.             Age: 60 years.

3.             Gas affected or contaminated water affected (details): I suffer from the contaminated water.

4.             Address: At the time of the gas leak I was not in Bhopal and had gone to visit some relatives in Lateri village, I used to live near the rail track in Devki Nagar then. Now I live at 5 Kaaliyan Nagar, Vidisha Road, Bhopal, I do not know the house number.

5.             Occupation: I do not do any work. My younger son lives with me who works as a casual labourer. He earns about Rs. 50.00 to 60.00. My other sons do not support me and live separately at Nariyal Kheda.

6.             Life worries (indebtedness, illness in the family, livelihood): My only source of income is what my younger son earns. We live in a rented room for which we have to pay Rs. 200.00 every month. Often we are unable to pay the rent. I have also taken a loan of about Rs. 15000.00 for the treatment of my husband and son. My husband suffers from severe cough, breathlessness and weakness. He also gets cramps due to which he is very often in pain. He is not able to go and work due to his illness. The doctors just write medicines but these are of no help. My son was also very sick, he also used to get boils on his body but he has improved somewhat and is able to go and earn some money.

7.             Income and sources of income: My only source of income is what my son earns. I am not able to do any work as the contaminated water affects me. I have swellings on my hands and feet. Even small strains leave me breathless. There is not enough to eat but I am unable to do something to increase the family income.

8.             Compensation amount and how was it utilized: I have not received any compensation.

9.             Deaths of family members, relatives, friends, neighbours, cause of death, date of death: There have been no deaths in my family.

10.         Illness due to disaster: Since I was not in Bhopal at the time of the gas leak, I do not suffer any illness on that account. Whatever problem I have is due to the use of contaminated water.

11.         Current Illness (due to gas exposure or exposure to contaminated water): I suffer from severe headaches and heartburn. I also have ulcers in my mouth and this makes eating very difficult. There is always a burning sensation in the stomach and I do not feel hungry. There is constant rash and itching of the skin. The water we drink is brackish.

12.         Association with organizations: I have not gone for any rallies so far, but I am determined to go to Delhi now.

13.         Participation in rallies, demonstrations, direct actions, fasts, how many, when was the first time, where was it Bhopal and elsewhere: Nil.

14.         Arrests, jail terms, beatings, legal suits: Nil.

15.         Activities (other than participating in protests) for improvement of the condition of survivors: No.

16.         Expectations from the padyatra: We hope that the government will listen to us and do something for our welfare. The most important thing for us is clean water and this, the government must ensure at all costs.

17.         Worries if any: I am worried about how we will reach Delhi. But I am very hopeful that I will get the courage to complete the march. The government has to listen to us.
