The
International Campaign for Justice in Bhopal is a coalition of groups
and individuals led by Bhopal survivors' groups.
The
ICJB campaigns for Union Carbide Corporation and/or its 100% owner
Dow Chemical to appear in court in Bhopal to face the criminal charges
from which Union Carbide Corporation has been absconding since 1992.
For survivors to receive adequate medical care, including provision
for those born since the disaster whose suffering is a result of
the gas, for the company to clean up the contaminated factory site
it left behind in Bhopal which is now poisoning the drinking water
of 20,000 people. To compensate people whose health has been damaged
by the water contamination, which is a separate issue from the 1984
gas disaster. Also for the company to pay for long-term health monitoring
of the populations affected by the gas and water poisonings and
to rehabilitate the families who have been driven over the edge
of the abyss by loss of earnings due to ill-health.

campaign" when Dow executives never knew where in the world
