विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस के अवसर पर यूनियन कार्बाइड के परित्यक्त कारखाने के आस पास के रहवासियों ने आज पिछले 19 सालों से दबे हज़ारों टन जहरीले कचरे को हटा नहीं पाने की सरकार की विफलता के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन 13 जो कैंसर और जन्मजात विकृतियां पैदा करते है और जो जिगर, फेफड़े और मस्तिष्क को नुक्सान पहुंचाते है ।

On the occasion of World Environment Day residents from the neighbourhood of Union Carbide’s abandoned factory in Bhopal demonstrated against the Indian government’s failure in removing thousands of tons of poisonous waste for the last 19 years. Hundreds of residents stood in the form of a question mark and held a banner atop the mound below which the hazardous waste lies buried. The demonstrators said that the question mark was meant to signify the many unanswered questions about the ongoing contamination in an area greater than 20 square kilometres.

Dear Sir,
We, representatives of five organizations working for the welfare of the survivors of the December 1984 Union Carbide disaster in Bhopal, wish to present our observations with regard to the functioning of the Indira Gandhi Women & Child Hospital that is run by the Department of Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief & Rehabilitation. We visited this hospital in the morning of February 16, 2015.
