Janjagratha Samithi, Palakkad organised a dharna to express solidarity with the victims of the tragedy and also to demand that the government rehabilitate them without further delay. Dr M N Anuvarudheen, ENT Specialist and President, Palakkad Munnot inaugurated the dharna. Dr P S Panikkar, leading evenvironmentalist and human rights activist in Kerala presided over the dharna. Abdul Aziz and K M Beevi of SUCI, P M Ravindran of Save RTI Campaign, Prem Sundar of Chirakukal and Santhosh Kottekkad spoke.
