About 100 survivors of Bopal Gas Disaster and those affected by ground water contamination caused by Union Carbide’s Hazardous waste staged a demonstration outside the Union Carbide Factory in Bhopal demanding that President Obama meet with them in Delhi and ensure that Union Carbide & Dow Chemical obey Indian laws and abide by decisions of Indian Courts
Survivors shouted slogans of “No business by US corporations till there is Justice in Bhopal” (Bhopal Mein Insaaf Nahi to Ameerki Vyayapr nahi) and held posters like “IS BHO A PAL OF BHOPAL?” BHO symbolizing for Barrack Hussain Obama.
This demonstration was yet another reminder to President Obama that he needs to address the demands of Bhopal gas survivors
