As actor Aamir Khan’s remarks over rehabilitation of Narmada kicked up a controversy, megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday said the actor had every right to express his opposition provided it was within the purview of the Constitution.
“Every person has the right to express his views… Our country is a democratic republic and every person enjoys the freedom to say whatever he wants and express his opposition,” he told a TV news channel.
At the same time Khan’s detractors also have a democratic right to express their opinion within the Constitution, Bachchan said.
