Fredericton — Canada’s Defence Minister says a resolution to the Agent Orange controversy at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown is still about one year away.
In his first official visit to Canada’s largest base yesterday, Gordon O’Connor said two important reports on Agent Orange will be released next week.
During the mid-1960s, the U.S. military tested the powerful defoliants Agent Purple and Agent Orange at the base.
Both military personnel and civilians who live near the base have raised concerns about their health as a result of exposure to the chemical sprays.
